"Salt" a Hymn, and a Horse's Face.

A man who frequents the Starbucks where I work
loaned me a book that promises to be an intersting read at worst.
I love history,
and the thought of this subject intrigues me.

I have not yet begun to read it,
but when I finish I'll write my amateur review on
the literary portion of things that interest me.

I'm always on the prowl for music.
I spend more money on it than I should,
but I'm moved so by it that I'll never stop buying it if I can help it.
We sang this hymn at my church one Sunday about a week ago.
It just touched me in a new way in its simple truth.
I bought it, and its continued to bless me as I listen to it
and think about the words.

CHRIS TOMLIN
or you can buy it

A less blatant Christian song I recently discovered,
threw itself at me from the artwork.
Most of the time if I like the album cover,
there will be at least a couple songs that
I enjoy from the album.
That formula for discovering music rings true
yet again for me in

Needtobreathe's latest album
The only track I bought was impressive.
[currently becoming a radio hit,
which annoys me, but oh well].
Get in on it before you become a statistic
on a ratings chart!

P.S. Let me know your opinions of my recommendations
if you cheque any of them out.

Audio Finds Worth Mentioning
[the worth placed on these is of my own standard,
so you may very well disagree].

Emmy Rossum. "Slow Me Down".
I'm aware that I have a somewhat,
shall we say,
Eclectic
taste in Music at times.
This might be one of them.
The best way to Describe this song is a large helping of
like vocals without the
Depression that usually accompanies her.

Roald Dahl's
as read by
Jeremy Irons.
You just have to buy this!
[I'm poor, so I haven't yet, but I will]

Discoveries of Note in my life over the past week.

Jenness gave me this book to read,
I'm only in the fourth chapter, but its good already
. One tag-line I saw for it was

 "Fiction with a Conscience".

I think that says it all.

I've loved the William Powell & Myrna Loy duo for a long time.
Throw in Clark Gable as a Prohibition Mobster and
you've got yourself a movie worth watching again.

"Sadie's Song" by Adrienne Young

  [Nickel Creek meets Julie Miller]

More of a Rediscovery
I'm probably one of this Melon's biggest fans.
For an added bonus, try it with a dollup or seven of

Seriously! You will love it!

Greenville South Carolina
is hiding a wonderful little
Coffee Shop in its Downtown.
I had the most amazing "Black Bean Hummus Wrap".
I've decided to create yet one more blog for just random trivial things in my life.
My other two blogs, of which only one is kept up to any degree, seem too deep some times for random things I want to post. So here we go. It may take off. It might not. Only time will tell.
So here we go.

It Happened One Day
*as per my life.
